Delete your PawHop account and data

This page is for the PawHop app, published by North Star Home Guide, LLC. You can delete your account and the data tied to it at any time. You never need an account to use PawHop, so if you never signed in, there is nothing to delete on our servers.

Option 1: delete in the app (fastest)

1. Open PawHop and sign in to the account you want to delete.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Tap Yes, delete my account and data to confirm.

The deletion happens right away. You will be signed out on every device. This cannot be undone.

Option 2: ask us by email

If you can’t open the app, write to support@pawhop.app with the subject “Delete my PawHop account”. Send the email from the address you signed in with (or tell us which sign-in you used: email, Google, or Facebook) so we can find the account. Do not send a password, card number, or ID. We may reply once to confirm it is you. We delete the account within 30 days of confirming, and usually much sooner.

What is deleted

• Your account and sign-in record, including your email address and the name Google or Facebook gave us.
• Your dog profiles (name, breed, size, birthday, and the rest) and your dog photos and profile picture.
• Your saved places, paw ratings, passport stamps, and your check-in and note history.
• Your Friends profile: your display name, friend code, friend requests and friends, blocks, invite links, and places you sent to friends.
• Your spot on friends’ maps, if you had turned that on.
• Your preferences synced to the account, such as dock and home screen order.

Also on the phone: in the app, deleting also erases PawHop’s data stored on that device. If you remove the app instead, its on-device data goes with it.

What is kept

• Anonymous check-ins, condition notes, and condition photos. They are not linked to your account, so we can’t find yours to remove. They expire on a timer, or when a closure is marked resolved.
• Reports you filed about another person. We keep the report for safety review, with your name removed.
• Feedback you sent. We keep the message and remove the link to your account. Email us if you want the message removed too.
• A business claim email, as a record of the decision. Email us if you want it removed.
• Backups. A copy in our database host’s routine backups, if any, is removed when those backups age out.
• We may keep a record if the law requires it, such as for a legal dispute.

Other things to know

• Facebook and Google. Deleting your PawHop account does not delete your Facebook or Google account. To also remove PawHop from your Facebook, go to Facebook Settings, Apps and Websites, and remove PawHop. For Google, use your Google Account, Security, Third-party connections.
• Friends. Friends you had no longer see your name or dogs after you delete.
